Quick answers

Common booking questions

Do I need a referral?

No. Self-referrals are welcome across all streams. NDIS participants usually have a plan in place, and palliative visits are often coordinated through the care team, but neither is essential. A phone or email conversation is always the first step.

Can I bring a family member or support worker?

Yes. Family, partners or support workers are welcome. Where the session is designed for solo clinical work, a brief handover at the start and end with the support person is common. Just let Rodney know at booking.

What does the first session look like?

A standard first session is 60 minutes. About 15 minutes of intake conversation, around 30 to 35 minutes of experiential music or sound work, then a brief closing conversation. No musical experience or preparation is needed.

How are sessions paid for?

Private clients pay by invoice or card on the day. NDIS plan-managed and agency-managed participants have invoices sent to their plan manager. Self-managed participants are invoiced directly. Corporate and event bookings pay by invoice against PO, standard net-14 terms.

Can sessions be run online?

Clinical music therapy sessions can be run online for NDIS participants where that suits the plan. Sound journeys and group workshops are in-person only - the physical resonance of the instruments is central to the experience.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, digital vouchers for individual sessions and sound journeys are available. Email to request a voucher in any value.
